The German KODE5 regional finals took place this weekend in Dortmund. Eight teams attending the regional finals, but only one could come out on top.

Eight great squads attending the KODE5 regional finals starting this Saturday. Newly crowned EPS XI winners ALTERNATE aTTaX, the WCG 2007 champions McPoker.emL, and 6 other teams performing well on European ground.

McPoker.emL never really showed any weakness' in their matches. The played their way directly to the grand final.
The team to play McPoker.emL in the grand final had to be found in the consolidation final between ALTERNATE aTTaXand Competo.
Competo had been playing very well during the KODE5 regional finals, knocked ALTERNATE aTTaX into lower, already in the first round of the upper brakcet. Competo came from the upper bracket final versus McPoker.emL. ALTERNATE aTTaX on the other hand, had to play their way through lower bracket, due to their loss versus Competo in the first upper bracket round.

The two teams had to face each other on de_inferno. A map our users predicted at mooN's map. However that wasn't the case. Competo started as CT playing very aggressive. Especially mason played an amazing CT side, and could help Competo winning first half 14:1.

ALTERNATE aTTaX really had to come up with the great play they showed last weekend during EPS XI finalsversus mousesports. But once again Competoplayed stronger and gathered the two rounds they needed.

McPoker.emL awaited Competo in the grand final on de_train. The French team lost the knife round and had to go T first half. That however did not seem to have an effect on McPoker.emL. They never at any point let Competo into the match. With ioRek making it impossible for Competo to lock down those "easy" rounds. McPoker.emL could take first half 11:4 as T.

CT side awaited McPoker.emL. They could take the pistol round, as mSxtook four Competo out before blizkertook him out, ioRekthen took blizker out and McPoker.emL had the first round they needed out of five. From that point on, McPoker.emL gathered the remaining four rounds without Competo getting any luck entering those bombspots. 5:0 and 16:4 overall and McPoker.emL wins the grand final and the spot at the KODE5 Global Finals.

After de_train was played, Competo did a dispute against McPoker.emL for flashbug. In the argument with admins and Comepto, McPoker.emL should have been trash talking both parts and Competo got the win on de_train. de_inferno then had tobe played. The map Competo beat aTTaX 16:1 on earlier today. However that did not help Competo at all. McPoker.emL could win de_inferno with 16:5 and once for all win the KODE5 Germany qualification.
